University Studies

The Department of University Studies offers courses and academic support programs to help facilitate the college transition of SSU students. New members of the Sonoma State community are welcomed to campus with introductions to campus resources, mentoring opportunities, and tools for academic success. Students participating in First-Year Learning Communities, Sophomore-Year Experience courses, and co-curricular activities develop their personal, academic, and career goals and cultivate a sense of responsibility to themselves and the world around them.

University Studies also proudly serves as the academic home for Undeclared Students and we strive to provide them opportunities for major exploration and recognition for academic excellence.
